Hydrants are provided primarily for fire protection. Customers who want to draw water from hydrants for commercial or other purposes, are required to obtain an AWWU Hydrant Use Permit. Unauthorized hydrant use can damage the water system and will result in a citation and fine.
A meter deposit is required on all seasonal/hydrant and tanker meters, for the possible loss or damage to a meter.
