An application for service is an agreement to pay for services.

RESIDENTIAL APPLICATION FOR SERVICE

Thank you for choosing Anchorage Water & Wastewater Utility’s Online Application for Residential Service.

A single-family residence is considered a single detached dwelling or free-standing structure used for domestic residency.  This includes structures with an attached accessory dwelling unit or “mother-in-law” apartment.

A duplex or triplex is considered a dwelling unit that has separate, private entrances for two or three individual and distinct residential living units.

A four-plex is considered a dwelling having four individual and distinct apartments or residential living units.

A multi-unit is considered a dwelling having five or more individual and distinct apartments or residential living units.

Upon submitting your completed application, a Customer Service Representative will contact you within two business days.  New customers may be required to provide a copy of a signed lease / rental agreement or proof of ownership (signed closing disclosure, settlement statement, purchase agreement, or a warranty deed).

Before you begin, please ensure you have the following information ready:

  • A valid driver’s license or state-issued ID
  • The service location address
  • Your mailing address

COMMERCIAL APPLICATION FOR SERVICE

Thank you for choosing Anchorage Water & Wastewater Utility’s Online Application for Commercial Service.

A building structure used for the purpose of conducting business.  This includes private or small business entities, non-profit organizations, homeowner associations, limited liability corporations, etc.

Upon submitting your completed application, a Customer Service Representative will contact you within two business days.  New customers may be required to provide a copy of a signed lease / rental agreement or proof of ownership (signed closing disclosure, settlement statement, purchase agreement, or a warranty deed).

Before you begin, please ensure you have the following documents ready, including an active business license if you are conducting business in the state of Alaska:

AGENT / BROKER APPLICATION FOR SERVICE

Thank you for choosing Anchorage Water & Wastewater Utility’s Online Application for Agent / Broker Service which is used for temporary services for real estate agents, brokers, or foreclosure agent specialists. 

Upon submitting your completed application, a Customer Service Representative will contact you within two business days.  New customers may be required to provide a copy of a signed letter of authorization, or contract between parties. 

Before you begin, please ensure you have the following information ready:

  • A valid driver’s license or state-issued ID
  • The service location address
  • Your mailing address

SEPTAGE / LIQUID WASTE HAULER APPLICATION FOR SERVICE

Thank you for choosing Anchorage Water & Wastewater Utility’s Online Application for Commercial Service.

Commercial operations that pump liquid waste, which transport and discharge the liquid waste into the public sewer system. This includes but is not limited to septic tank waste.  

Upon submitting your completed application, a Customer Service Representative will contact you within two business days.  

Before you begin, please ensure you have the following documents to proceed:

 A valid driver’s license or state-issued ID

  • Articles of Organization for LLC
  • Articles of Incorporation for Corporations
  • Active Business License
  • W9

OTHER SERVICES AND AGREEMENTS

REQUEST TO DISCONTINUE SERVICEPlease provide your account details and a forwarding mailing address.  Upon submitting your request, a Customer Service Representative will contact you within two business days.  

AUTOMATIC LANDLORD / PROPERTY MANAGER AGREEMENT - This agreement allows for continuous service under the Landlord/Property Manager’s name once a Tenant ends service and will remain so until a new Tenant applies for service.  The billing for services will stay under the Landlord/Property Manager’s name until a Tenant takes over or the Landlord/Property Manager requests to terminate the agreement.

LIFE SUPPORT ALERT PROGRAM - The Utility may extend the time to correct payment delinquency if it is determined the dwelling's service is for a person who is seriously ill, elderly, handicapped, or dependent on water for life support systems or equipment.  A medical professional must complete this form to determine eligibility.  Specific and/or protected diagnosis or health information is NOT required.
