Michelle brings more than 25 years of professional communications and public relations experience to the position and offers great depth in areas such as communication strategies and crisis communication management. Michelle is a member of the Public Relations Society of America College of Fellows and serves on the PRSA Board of Directors. She previously worked in communications roles with the Anchorage School District, the Anchorage Economic Development Corporation and Junior Achievement of Alaska.

Michelle was raised in Kodiak. She is a graduate of Boston College with a degree in Psychology and holds the Accredited in Public Relations certification. She also holds a master’s degree in Strategic Communications and Leadership from Seton Hall University.
