Drinking Water Quality Reports Released
AWWU’s annual drinking water quality reports for Anchorage and Girdwood include details about where your water comes from and what it contains. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the State of Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation (ADEC) require all water agencies to produce an annual report about the previous year’s drinking water quality for its customers. AWWU's commitment to water quality excellence results in the production of drinking water that meets and/or exceeds all state and federal drinking water standards for 2017. Your Utility safeguards your public water supplies, and is pleased to report: AWWU has never violated a maximum contaminant level or any other water-quality standard. AWWU ensures safe and reliable drinking water with use of efficient and state-of-the-art technology. The 2018 reports are based on 2017 water quality data.
