Employee of the Month

John Kaiser
Engineering Technician III
Systems Maintenance - O&M Division

Congratulations, John Kaiser, on your selection for the Employee of the Month. Your performance as an Engineering Technician, managing the day-to-day operations of the Pavement and Landscaping Restoration Program, has continually produced positive results. You have been responsible for managing the restoration of approximately 250 excavations performed by the O & M crews each year, various restoration projects requested from Engineering and Treatment Divisions, and the O & M Support Maintenance Section. Your performance demonstrates that you are team orientated and together everyone achieves more.”

You spend a portion of your day responding to contractors and property owners’ questions and complaints, as well as researching and responding to inquiries from the public, customers, consultants, and other MOA departments. You routinely excel in this endeavor. Your personalized professional approach in dealing with inquires and disputes, with customers and contractors, have consistently produced positive results, which has reduced the number of disputes that have to be resolved through mitigation. In all contacts, you always maintain a good attitude and positive disposition, even when dealing with the most difficult customers. You leave our customers with a positive image of AWWU and the community that we serve. In all your dealings, you treat everyone with dignity and respect.

One of the many functions of your position is utilizing (MAXIMO) the utility’s maintenance management program in the administration of the restoration contract. You are responsible for the review and data input (invoice/costs, and linking the documents and photos), and each year several thousand documents require such linking. You have worked hard to streamline this process and have successfully improved the efficiency of these efforts. The division has received several compliments appreciating your work. Your superior customer service skills, demonstrates that you are innovative and flexible and that you recognize that change is continuous. You promote employee pride and motivate others and in doing so, your efforts help achieve utility’s professional goals by accessing right tools and training.

I thank you for your dedication, hard work and efforts to ensure AWWU maintain high standards in managing its projects and providing excellent customer service. Your actions demonstrate that you are committed to promoting a positive image of the AWWU in the community we serve. Congratulations on a job well done!

Sincerely,
Mark Premo, P.E.
