The AWWU Authority Board of Directors was established by municipal ordinance in September 2005. The Board is the governing body of the Utility, empowered to operate and manage the Utility on behalf of the Municipality. The seven members of the AWWU Board are appointed by the Mayor and approved by the Anchorage Assembly. The board members serve staggered terms; the expiration date of each director’s term is listed with each portrait above.
Board meetings focus on Utility operations and highlights. Regular meetings are
typically held the first Wednesday of each month at noon at the AWWU
headquarters at 3000 Arctic Boulevard. Information on regular board meetings
and committee meetings is posted on the calendar below. The public is
welcome to attend.
